Nice dead one

Unread postby Mike » Thu May 06, 2010 4:57 pm

Our neighbor found this guy dead right behind his barn, had a shattered leg up around the shoulder, looks to be a nice on but not one I had seen around. One less nice one for this fall :(

Was the right antler broken off or was it shed?
Maybe he was hit by a vehicle and crawled behind the barn to die.

I think it's really neat how he was found. He must have been hit by a car and pulled himself to this point before bedding and enduring the worst. What I think we should say, instead of "bummer", is our ideas as to what it was that drew him to the side of the barn. . Why was this place safe to him? It obviously was, he doesn't look touched! How did he know that? Farmer must not walk back there often. . . I want to see pictures of the yard/landscape to have a better understanding. Why? Because what else are we talking about lately?
