Another Longbeard Down!

Unread postby huntinfool14 » Fri Apr 16, 2010 1:54 am

1st season here in wisconsin, and on the first morning hunt, we were done at 6:30...took my aunt out who shot her first turkey last year, she was bound to get another one this year! she lives for turkey season, but deer not so much. had 2 nice toms come into our decoy setup in a hayfield, got about 15 yards away and we gave her the signal to shoot! Bang! she missed..but being they were so close a 3 1/2 inch shell the pattern was so tight they ran out to about 25 yds and stopped to look back, and they second shot she made count! so now she is 2 for 2. the turkey weighed 25.7 lbs, 9 inch beard, and 1 inch spurs
