Really love this site, lurk here often. This is first post in a long while. Every sense I started reading the beast and hunting closer to where these bucks bed, i have had more encounters with more mature deer. Thanks for the tips, thought I’d share a few deer I have been fortune to encounter.

The first pictures is from this year Missouri rifle season, set up on back side of a hub of 5 ridges that merge in a 12 acre flat top. He was on the down wind side cruising.
The second buck was last years archery buck. He was chasing does on a bench that narrows down between a lake and field, it pinches down to about 100 yards wide. The pickup bed picture was last years rifle buck, he was on down wind side running a field edge. This site and its members are a wealth of info
