MO rifle season buck

Unread postby blackwidow » Fri Nov 20, 2020 8:51 am

I got my 2nd buck of the season this past weekend, so my tags are filled now. I ended up killing this buck at about 7:15 am. I was on an inside corner in a funnel where some sloughs meet together. In the field are a couple acres of wheat/oats that I planted in some dry sloughs and they came up great. They run out into a big bean field.

I had deer in sight pretty much the whole time. This buck ended up following a doe back into the woods towards me. I knew I should’ve took my recurve. The doe ended up right underneath me with him tearing up a tree 35 yards away. He turned to come towards us and started grunting at her. I went ahead and shot him facing me at about 30 yards. He went about 10 feet and piled up.
