Awesome buck wannabelikedan!

I went in an area last night I haven’t hunted before and there was a good bit of sign (more than I’ve seen this whole year). I wanted to go deeper but decided to hunt the fresh sign. I didn’t see anything til right at dark I saw a buck rubbing a tree but could not tell what he was. Next time I’m in there I may dive a little deeper.

Congratulations WBD, stud of a buck.
Just heading out. Will be setting up about 100 yards from bedding where I killed a 3 year old 8, 2 years ago. I saw a stud heading into this alder swamp bedding last season and the sign is definitely suggesting a solid buck is there again this year. Good luck all!

Great buck WBD! Congrats!

Taking one last swing at the bedding the good one came out of Tuesday night. Does and fawns in the area last night and more fresh buck sign. Bed is downwind of doe bedding this morning too. Early cruisers certainly possible too.

Scout hunted a thick bottom between two pine plantations last evening. Took me probably 2.5 hours to cover 300 yards. not much for sign other than a small buck. I sight bumped four deer total and would have had a shot on one but it was a spike. With about 20 minutes of legal light left I found a heavy stream crossing with some decent rubs and tracks. I set up about 15 yards off the trail on the ground and threw on a leafy top. I was slowly scanning the area and blew the grunt call to see if anything would investigate. I turned my head left and then back out in front and got totally freaked out when I saw a solid white back behind a deadfall. A big mature albino doe must have been bedded not 30-40 yards away and got up and started feeding. I drew on her several times but either was obstructed or had a bad angle. she was within 15 yards most of the time. She walked off as light faded but stayed within sight about 50 yards away and I slipped out quiet in the dark. She was glowing like a ghost in the moonlight. It was really a cool encounter. She didn't have a lick of brown on her anywhere. I've seen quite a few piebalds that where mostly solid white but she was the real deal. Ive only ever seen one other and it was less than a mile away about 10 years ago when I was bird hunting with my uncle.

It could be either, generally turkeys will leave tons of those spots and you will find droppings. I always am looking for tracks and scat to make that determination.
