Hit him in the guts. He had no idea what happened. He bounded over about 20 yards and was just standing there. I went to nock another arrow and he caught me moving. I seen him go into a 10 yard wide strip of trees and brush but he didn’t come out the other side. He could have parralled the tree line and went a long ways but I have a feeling he held up there close by because it’s super thick and there is bedding right there. I don’t know I’m just ticked off because I rushed it and I really didn’t need to.

Wes if you need to get a hold of a tracking dog let me know

Awesome thank you! I really feel like he will be close by in the morning but who knows. Stuff happens. There’s been a couple coyotes spotted in the area. Hopefully they don’t find him before I do.

Give him the time and you should find him Wlog. Hope it works out for you and he's there untouched in the morning.

I did a doe patrol/observation sit this evening. Saw a few come out from my plan B spot. I plan on going back tomorrow evening.

Guts is still a kill shot. Sometimes it happens but do your best to stay patient and give him time.

I just packed up, grabbed my arrow and snuck out as quiet as I could. I didn’t want to wander over and bump him if he laid down. I really think he laid close by.

Tonite was my 2nd time in a tree in the past 5 years. Saw 3 does. Heard a buck grunt twice in the suspected bedroom but never saw him. It sure is nice to see out.

Well they keep getting bigger. New bull tonight. Got as close as 230yds. They seem to have a 200 yard force field here. Cant tell from this pic, but this dude is WIDE too. Going to try and get back on him in the a.m. Tbunao up to bat in the morning.

Sea,

Seeing all your pics makes me want to drive back to Colorado and get back in there.
But, I’m stuck at work so I’ll be watching you and Tbunao hoping you both kill slobs.
I’m also busy remodeling my basement before my rutcation starts.
Good luck!
That bull is huge
