Got 5 miles in the ouachitas of arkansas and for sure picked the wrong time of year to be out there in crazy humidity. Found excellent habitat with lots of old rubs, couple scrapes and well worn trails through the timber but no fresh sign. So I'm assuming this is most likely fall sanctuary or travel since food is scarce due to no oaks and minimal ground forage. But heavily dog hunted leases around for miles this is just hard to access since most of the people dont want to walk more than a couple hundred yards to a box blind or ladder stand.

Got up into northwestern wisconsin this weekend. Found a ton of bedding in tall grass and pines. However, not a lot of buck sign. Theres deer there but im not feeling great about it.

Went and scouted some public river bottoms here in AR, walked just under 7.5 miles in hip boots, crossed a good bit of water but found some good sign, just not enough to day hunt here. Did see 7 bucks this morning though, including one nice shooter. Found several persimmon trees and a bunch of plum trees with fruit on and 2 good beds for when the water comes up, did find hair in both as well.

I have a bachelor group pinned down. They’re staging in the corn before they head out into the beans. They’re bedding 500+ yards from public but work their way toward it. I’ve never set foot on that private but I promise I could walk strait to their beds.

They’re in a low spot in the corn. Dogwood thicket. Going to get some inventory and maybe learn something new...

This was really cool outing. I was looking for a bigger deer that is around the area and stumbled on these young bucks.

The pics do not do it justice. Definitely in the top 5 tracks iv ever found and top 2 for the property. Considering the area is hills and timber I am very impressed
