My DNR buddy caught a guy at night poaching deer with a .308 suppressed air rifle and thermal optics.

That's almost as impressive as catching a 10-year-old thread with links to videos that no longer exist. 8-)

What they need to do is make the sling out of B50 and put some tiny fletching on the projectile that way it’s serious archery equipment. That way u can get the there’s no difference responses from folks. It’s got vanes, a bowstring, and requires one to carry it in the woods. I see no difference in any other bow. Dang u people for hand cuffing the elderly and youth with your so called thoughts of what a bow is... Smoke dem Hoes

Lmao, thats funny. Man I’ve been shooting my compound bow almost everyday, because you just about have to to get good at it. Trying to kill animals at 20yards and a few branches deflect my arrow (crossbow scope would have seen em). The importance of form, position, routine is wildly different from my crossbow. I can put my crossbow up all year, pull it out before season and kill.

Guess I'm admitting that those two weapons aren’t much alike although their components are.

Still think anywhere a compound is allowed a crossbow should. It should be up to a hunter which weapon he takes a buck at 30 yards with and how much time he puts into his weapon.

You do what you practice. You do same thing enough. That is what you will do in heat of moment. Problem is there is only one element left out. Live target. It is 90% mental10% action. Until you get some under your belt so to speak it does not make any difference what method you use. Then, even some of us get rattled sometime. My go to to slow me down is "shoot for exit". You have to slow down and make sure of angle.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.
