Great question. The information is so contradictory sounding... It says it’s ok to go to parks, but maintain safe distance. Then it says no non-essential travel.

I’m interpreting it as being ok to scout.

But I can’t predict how Barney Fife will interpret it.

It's essential that I keep exercising my new hips/walking. It's also essential that I keep my sanity. So I choose to walk on public hunting/fishing lands. Instead of in town. Where I can practice extreme social distancing!!!

Absolutely. We can go outside and take a walk to get exercise. Sounds like the perfect definition of scouting to me. ;)

Also I got an email from the DNR saying that all State Parks and Trails have waived entrance fees.

Get out there and have fun. It’s great getting away from all the Coronavirus noise. I have been participating in non-stop social distancing and will continue the same.

Been scouting almost every weekend since the season ended. Sometimes during the week. Actually about to head out now to refresh some batteries.

I scouted a bunch right after season ended. Haven’t had time since and spring came so quick I’m on to Turkey scouting. Our spring green up is about a full month ahead of “normal”-doesn’t leave much time for scouting...
Some do. Some don't. I just might...

The WI DNR had repeatedly said you can go outside but you MUST stay very close to your home. Therefore you cannot bypass anything, you must settle for the closest location possible

I scouted a block of public today that was a really nice place with some decent deer sign, but not exactly what I was looking for. I definitely found some good sign of some other "hunters" though.

I finished scouting today the piece that I started scouting last week. Not really impressed with anything I found from either day. I marked some spots, but not sure if I will hunt there or not. Got another chunk of public up the road from this that I want to scout some yet this Spring.
