What are your goals with extended daylight

Unread postby buttonbuck » Fri Mar 13, 2020 11:02 am

With daylight now extending later into the evening, how has this changed your goals.

I personally have a goal to shoot my bow every day at least a few arrows. And as the daylight increases ill be scouting after work. As the temps rise I plan on glassing a-lot of the areas I scouted. Ill save summer scouting for mornings and for unfamiliar areas I pick a buck up from glassin

I get off at 5 sundown at 8. Gives me an hour or two to walk. I hunted this way last year and made several kills with a few hours.

I'm scheduling a few more jobs so I can make some extra money for traveling this upcoming season.

I have some habitat improvements I'm working on to improve my private, will start scouting as soon as a little more snow is gone. A week away here.

More scouting between work and home on week nights. I forgot to put hip boots in the truck yesterday for an after-work scouting mission. It’s only water!

I used my TideWe prototype breathable canvas swamp shoes to scout after work today.

What do you think of them?? I’d really like to test/try the hip boot/knee boot hybrid

A bit soggy and cool for the current temps of SE WI swamp water!

I wasn’t planning on scouting, but I had an unexpected hour available so I made do without my real TideWe’s. I’m putting them in the truck again. ;) 8-)

Xtra hours of daylight just make me feel better and more energized. My goals really don’t change cause I do most my rat killin b4 noon anyway.
