Well done, especially with a trad bow! That's a feat for sure and hope you get to mount him to remember the experience.

Thanks! And yes I did take him to the taxidermist. $700 which is a lot for me. But I’ve chased these suckers since I was a teen and always wanted a boar mount. Back then there was lots of giants running around but I just didn’t know what I was doing. Mainly wind and how to get close. Then about the same time I got pretty good at that hog hunting went mainstream. Using dogs, traps and long range rifles put a heck of a dent in at least the boar age class. To get this one some many years later with a stickbow, when the odds were against me. Mixed in with the fact I missed him the day b4 just made it to sweet to pass up the mount. Prob like anything in life the harder you try, and the more you fail, the sweeter the reward when it finally works out. That feeling could be a doe, a young buck, or even a monster. But I would like everyone to experience that holy crap I did it moment. It’s quite a sensation!

Thank you all for the very kind words. Many years wrapped up in the chase of this one and I’m still tickled pink!
