Dan passed up monster in the intro?

Unread postby PredatorTC » Fri Aug 05, 2011 3:16 pm

Dan, whats with the clip in the intro where a huge buck walks under your stand and then you look up at the camera and shake you head? How come you did not shoot him?

I was going to start this very thread. He could have reached out and touched that deer too!

That was a long time ago, and there was a much bigger buck showing him self...

I set my standards based on where I am hunting and what is available to hunt... On some public land I might settle for a 2 1/2 year old... On a piece of managed private a deer like that might get let go.
Andrae has footage of passing much bigger bucks. He has tapes where he passes on bonafied booners.

;) So what if the shot was 150 yards with my bow, I still passed! ;)

I meant more that I've passed bucks that were at the time bigger than what I've shot in hopes of what I knew was in that area. A.K.A. the buck we called Kong. And then Jarin shot him so I should've shot that big heavy 10!
