From what we now know of CWD, it only stands to reason that wolves would be about the ultimate carrier to spread it around a region in the fastest way possible.
Glad to hear that is being given some air time by a respected authority; IMO we need all the ammo we can get to keep them, (both wolves and CWD), from spreading further.

But I'm afraid it's a lost cause; both those genies are out of the bottle.

The difference is that at least with grey wolves we COULD stop their spread and even eradicate them as the invasive species they are in the territories into which they were introduced.

ravens, Crows, Turkey Vultures migrate.
Coyotes have a big home range the list goes on

I've heard Dan talk about this when the CWD talk comes up. Think about coyotes, wolves, bobcats, eagles, crows, etc. If a roadkill has CWD and the crows are eating it, then flying miles and miles away to the next site and pooping from area to area, CWD could in fact be moved around.
