Its dec8th, in wi gun season has been over for a week.
I bumped a buck onmoderate pressured land.
It was at 10 am, will he come back befor dark?
Will he wait till tomorrow a.m.?
Or is he gone from the area for a while due to all the hunting season pressure?
Has anyone bumped a buck in a similar situation during late season?

Re: Bump and dump late season
Well here it is, a recap on the buck bump,
No he didnt come back. After I bumped him went home grabbed my stand set up, an sat from 3 :45to 5pm (dark) never seen him.
I was set up 60 yards from his bed down wind had a good visual if he came in from elsewhere. Maybe next go around.
I no it was kinda late. An I made some noise settin up,so that may have been a factor.

Re: Bump and dump late season
I’ve personally done this one a couple a occasions and had the buck return. Many factors come into play but I think that we can also over think this stuff too. You bumped him in a area that’s had high pressure around it. Chances are that’s his safe spot. I would be back in there on that spot or thinking about the best easy to get at him there if you know the area pretty well. I’ve killed two late season that I bumped 4-7 days prior. They were back in that same general area. Not exact beds.

Gonna be giving this tactic a go until our season is over (Jan 1st). Don’t have much time left to get out there, so when I do go I’d really like to cover as much ground as possible. I’ll post an update if something great happens.
