Well, I just made a corporate decision and cancelled my vacation. I don't like the weather coming in. Looks like I'll be gun hunting. Opening day is Friday. Took that off and most of the following week. I can't do all day sits when we get down in the single digits and teens. I'll wait for better days. Not a fan of the gun pressure but feel my odds will still be better.

Good luck to all out today !!!

Kinda of worried about my wind, but sometimes you gotta risk it. Kind of wondering if the warmer pavement may not suck my thermals behind me at dusk. We shall see.

I think traffic does affect your wind current. I never thought about the black top.

After a fruitless morning sit we changed scenery and found some bigger timber on public to try. Setup by 3p and had a yearling buck move through at 3:15. Already looking up

So far Wind is good but if it dies will see if the marsh/dropping thermal beats the road!

Couldn't handle going up a tree today so we're using the predator platform as a ground seat. One of these days I'll get over that slip. At least I'm trying again.

Holy cow what a great few days. These are the better ones that got passes. Cant shoot a great one if you shoot the good ones. Soak up this rut fellas, it's a good one.

Was able to tag a pretty 8pt in NE Tennessee this evening

He came in and got a pass....

Then I seen he was carrying right front leg off the ground. Hate to see them hurt like that!

NE Tennessee, and happy to have him.
Really glad to take him out of his pain.
