Turkey poults
I haven't seen one single brood of turkey chics yet, here in NE WI. Anybody been seeing young ones? Wonder if the spring weather was tough on them.

If a "poult" ???? is a group of young ones, seen (3) groups in seperate areas all along the side of the road headed fishing last weekend.

Poult is a term for a tukey chick, or any poultry chicks, I believe.
Looks like there are a few out there.

I have not seen any yet My area had a bad winter kill, so I'm hoping there is lots of poults running around that I'm not seeing.

Re: Turkey poults
I have been seeing them, they look small for this time of year. Saw one about a month ago, that flew right up in the brush when I stopped on the road to take a pic. Didnt know how young they could fly, but I found out.
We had a wet spring too, and was starting to wonder how they did.
Speaking of quail, I actually saw 2 quail along the road a couple days ago.
