Sweet pics!

I have been applying for that tag for years and years. Haven't got it yet. PLH, you might want to apply in Vermont and New Hampshire also.

New Hapmshire has a quality hunt as well, for the most part. But you really want to make sure you apply for the northern tear (A's, B, C, D), once you get south of C the numbers really start to drop, it's a little different type of hunting as well. I really don't know a thing about the VT hunt.

Someday I will get picked for Maine. If anyone that applies for Maine wants my opinion on the zones to apply for (you can pick 10 in order of preference) let me know

Maine moose is a very coveted tag to have. Mehunter lives there, has all his life and still has not drawn. It is awesome he gets to participate in so many hunts. I would love to tag along just for the photo ops!!!!

Thanks to all who have replied. I will get online and give it another go. Maybe I can finally draw a tag and then call Don to get the inside scoop on how to do it. Thanks Hunting Nurse for the info and Don's input. After seeing those pics I am jacked-up to chase one of them big critters!

I don't really shed hunt much, most if not all of my free time this time of year is spent on the ice or water, now that the ice is just gone and the salmon are biting I'm chasing them (until turkey season starts)! I will go out searching a few times, but won't go north looking for them. Few buddies have found a good amount though.

I checked the moose draw results this morning and once again, no luck this time. I will keep applying!

Any forum members get a Maine moose tag?
