Ive got second season and the forecast for the next couple of days in Zone 1 is calling for 4-9 inches of snow. Im a younger guy on here and have been hunting since 2001 at 12 years old every year but havnt ever hunted in snow before for turkies. I guess Im not sure how to go about hunting them in the snow? Use the same tactics? Do they move around as much when there is good snow on the ground? Will they be active especially off the roost? Less responsive?
Any tips from the other snow hunters from 1st season would be much appreciated thanks guys!

Re: Snowbird hunting
To me it seems everything gets a little harder with snow, they still seem to do the same things, but are just harder to call, seem to gobble less, and commit to dekes less. Just my experince. Just need more patients, remember the old saying " A turkey has no where to go, and all day to get there."

Re: Snowbird hunting
One nice thing is you can build "snow turkeys" so you won't have to carry all those decoys!
Don't forget to wear your snow camo.
You can track them down!
