Extreme Turkey Tactics DVD Review(s)

Unread postby Uncle Lou » Wed Apr 06, 2011 8:35 am

Watching it as I am on the BEAST. First bird had a huge beard.

Love the method of emptying the water out of your boots by leaning forward and lifting your heal towards your but, nice job Ratslayer, I am going to use that one.

Oh, Ratslayer just missed.

Stay tuned, there will be some double posting here

Looks like Dan just spined that one. That was quite the funky move Dan did on the narration - post kill. Kinda like a pee shiver. Yeh, watch for that

3Dog just disappeared into the hillside leaves with his leafy suit with his bow - No Blind. Swing and a miss.

Cool stuff Bob

Had to get another beer and go to the mens room, tried to hit pause and I hit the wrong button. Now I have to find where I left off.

Crap I lost my spot. Maybe thats good, so I dont reveal every hunt. Pee shivers, boot emptying, you know all the important tactics.

I ended up on the turkey drive. Wow

Alright I am going to stop commenting on each hunt and finish watching.

Your welcome

Solocam, your in the movie too? That's cool.

Finished it this afternoon.

My overall review - Watch It!

Turkey hunting has a special place for me as it was something me and my big bro got together to do as we lived nearly 9 hours apart. He got good at calling and I worked on my impatient technique of slithering around.

In 2006 big bro killed his best bird in MI on public land I scouted for him. That was his last bird - God rest his soul. He told me a couple years earlier that I couldnt do my slither and crawl techniques on mature birds.

In 2009 I killed a big double beard after spotting him and circling and slithering up on it.

When Dan told me his theme for making this video, I couldnt wait to see it. It lived up to my expectations, only wish my big bro could see it. Chris Good job on the editing and production.

Got mine in the mail today so naturally I watched it immediately.

Awesome production guys!

LB the editing and everything is amazing! The footage from dans camera plus all the swamp walking and discussion of frying cameras just reinforces how much of a die hard dan is-totally awesome thats how you know this video is the real deal! Solocams footage is great quality holy crap which camera is that? Nice bird you guys got too! Hats off to 3dog love his footage and how the archery set up ALMOST panned out! So cool! Everyone in the video did a great job that totally changes how I am going into my spring turkey hunting. I want to connect with my bow this year which I think will be hard running and gunning but we will try. Awesome footage and videos guys hats off to everyone in it definitely a great production.

I should add that my least favorite thing to watch is turkey hunting, and I really only participate to hold me over between the end of bowseason and the start of the following fall. That being said I really enjoyed this video definitely not your run of the mill turkey vid. Keep up the good work fellas. 8-)

Oh yea the beast song is pretty badass too. You guys should form a small "music video" for it that would be pretty cool.
