Thanks for the tip mountain man. I will have to try that next time. Im not sure about painting the burrs of the antlers tho, not sure if it would work out for me and it looks good for me as is besides the dark stains in skull.

BigHillsBH - You're welcome. You might want to also read up on using hydrogen peroxide for whitening. There is plenty of stuff to read on the Taxidermy.net forums in the Skulls and Skeletons section. I'm not into Europeans so I can't say what methods are better than others but a little reading on Taxi.net will give you a lot of good info. Spysar and Rancid Crabtree do Europeans so maybe they will chime in with their preferred methods for whitening.

Very cool. Lot's of character and should spark some conversation.
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

looks nice, its not every day you find one wrapped up in wire like that.
try to stay away from using bleach, over exposer will actually eat at the skull. 40% hydrogen peroxide dilluted with water works the best. or u can purchase a kit with degreaser that helps lift the tissue from the bone this saves alot of hand work

Yea the bleech is starting to eat at the skull is there anything I can do to stop this or not?

Also how do you apply the degreaser exaclty? Is this an alternative to boiling the skull?

rinsing with water would help clean bleach, but once the skull has dried the bleach won't cause anymore damage.
the degreaser comes in gel form and is dulluted with water while boiling, it just helps separate tissue from bone. it's still a pain in the but!
