Definitely don't want to forget that! My next list revision will definitely include it. ;)

Comes in handy since no GPS yet.

I started doing that last year- not always the greatest pic, but it works reasonably well. 8-)

As what i did read here, we have (if we go in a big wild environment) to bring "a lot" of staff...

I did find a solution to brig a little less staff without take less functionality tools.
For my photos camera and video cam, I just take a video one that make also, not to bad pics (If I don't want make artistic pics like some artist we heave here).

About phone, compass, GPS, note book, I just 1 month ago bought a cell phone that make all those think (HTC Hero), that small and give me a mp3 Walkman when I want, the stars position and description a dog whistle, a "tape" recorder, a clock, and a ballistics table (with a good autonomy, I'll buy some solar recharge for it to).

Swiss knife can be helpful to.
Etc. ...
Hope that can help.

PS : ZAP your pics are amazing like I begging to be accustom...

You guys aren't redneck enough... we don't call 'em possums, they're called "grinners" round here.

Course, round Dan I guess they'd be "stinky grinners!" :D

I don't really have much to add that hasn't already been stated.

Backpack with Water, GPS, Folding Saw, Hooyman Extendable Pole saw, Pruners , Brown Reflective Tacs, Maps, 4 Cranford Screw In Steps, and I wear my saddle to prep trees.

Oh yeah and TP an absolute must.

Alot of what's been listed and also I take a windicator bottle or milkweed to check the wind. I carry about a 100' of parachute cord with me also. It's green and I bought it at Cabelas I think in a 1000' spool. I use this in post season scouting if I find a good stand sight sometimes to take branches and tie them up out of the way of shooting lanes without having to be intrusive by cutting everything and leaving debris on the ground. In the spring/summer the branches will grow up out of the way where you turn them up so if something happens to the string and it comes off for some reason your shooting lane is still there. You just need to make sure you tie them up more than you need so if the stirng comes off and the weight of the branch settles it's still out of the way. I also use it in season just spray it down with scentkiller depending on proximity to the deer beds. Scentkiller spray bottle also. Just because it's out of season or in season doesn't mean you can get sloppy. I uaually always carry a trail camera with me also.
