muddy have you been out again lately? maybe if you post an aerial photo Dan can establish stomping sites, where the brown ones might shed fur, break toenails, drop pellets, or where they might go to feed on holiday crumbs!

I think I got it under control, bagged a trophy shrew today in the garage, the line is starting to produce now that the cold weather is pushing them indoors.

Yeah, a couple years ago I was trapping hybrids during the flood of 2008.

I have a new record and it was attained with a show shovel in one swing. I'd apologize if this was just a "for fun killing spree" but we have a problem with these critters and the slaughter took place a few feet from my garage doors, gotta keep them out of doors.

Admit it, even though you're shaking your head and saying, "Damn that muddy is an ODD DUCK" you're still chuckling.
