Trout Regulations too complicated and must be simplified.

I know the trout nuts would like to micro manage each water separately, but the Gov has a good point. I certainly would fish more if I did not have to look up regulations for each separate body of water. To complicated. So now I fish a lot less when on trips and I bet I am not alone.
Whats your take on it Len?

way too complicated.

One size does not fit all.

One big special interest group will fight tooth and nail to avoid simplification.

These 2 statements kind of contradict each other. Can you explain please.

examples:

Buck Creek in Crawford County is Category 5.
Reasoning is they reintroduced trout there to a barren stream and are trying to get a population started.

Castle Rock Creek in Grant County is Category 5.
It is a petting Zoo for brooders is made solely to accommodate fly anglers. No natural reproduction being tried.

Get rid of category 5 streams that have no legitimate purpose.

Come on with the special interest question. They micro-manage every aspect of trout fishing in the state.
