Yes i knew this buck extreamly well. I kicked him out of his bed last winter and followed him around for a while and he led me to a different bedding area of his where i found his shed. I had a close encounter with him opening night and then in early october. In a way, i feel a little better that I dont have to obsess over him anymore and i can go hunt multiple bucks. Its hard to hunt one deer all season and not put too much pressure on him. So now i can move on 8-)

This deer never traveled far so I never had to worry but a hot doe is what im thinkin got him in trouble

with the shed i figured lower 160s

Great buck for sure!!! I know that with the great knowledge of hunting whitetails that you have, it wont be long before you put yourself onto another great buck just like that one only the end results will be in your favor!!

Yeah that's a giant, there will be others and you are about as prepared as anyone I know of to put the tag on them. Thanks for sharing.

Wow that is a beauty. I don't live to far from you and there are some awesome bucks being taken from our county in Wisconsin. I seen the buck on the Sheboygan press web site. Thats three booners in the last two years and maybe four with the 19 pointer taken earlier with the bow. I'd feel pretty good knowing you are part of the story of that Bruiser of a buck!!

Just lacking the mass to really pump the score up. Something tells me you will find another one to chase!!!! ;)
