Wow! I wonder if the buck that made it still wanted to hash it out with the other dead one. I just can't figure out why he wouldn't scram right away. I have seen two other similar situations to this, and both times the buck that was still alive was freed, took off right away. Radical stuff man...

I think he wanted some more of the dead one. I saw a video from somewhere where a buck came in and attacked an all ready dead buck. The guys filming it fired shots off and everything to try and get him to leave and he would not. I cannot remember how or why the other buck finally left.
