So I'm going through my old trail cam photo's and come across one from last year opening day of Gun Deer in Rhinelander, WI. I have seen some strange trail cam pics of tresspassers, but this one was my first and only from one of my cameras.

We still don't know where this dude came from or who he is

Well I guess the best thing that came out of it was he didn't steal your camera, so that's a plus. Too bad they don't make cameras that can identify trespassers and shoot a dart at them...LOL

if im walking around i wouldn't have that facemask on. if im walking around in that temp i would never need that mask. i don't wear glasses but that style mask is a fogging machine. he must have seen the camera put it on and thought this is going to funny or it could be he woke up that day like everyother day a jacka** hey i will put on my mask and walk in front of your camera cause im a jacka** a tresspassing one at that.

I have to think he put his mask on because he saw the camera and like Dan was saying, was contemplating stealing the camera. Little did he know until he got close enough, it was locked.

I remember plugging in to view the photos and it was, "Blank, blank, ". The whole cabin of guys errupted in laughing, then we got serious and started saying, "Who is this?"

We assumed one of our guys, but after a minute, we realized no one had blaze like that - totally a tresspasser. This is on private 44 acres way back deep along Skunk Creek off the Boom Flowage in Rhinelander. All borders are private, so it had to have been an immediate neighbor, but all are friendly except one... Weird thing is, the camera was on the side of the property with the decent neighbors and it's opening morning... Crazy

Like you said he saw the camera and put his mask on and was contemplating stealing it until he saw it was locked up... damn tresspassers.

Nothing makes me more mad than tresspassers. One of the most disrespectful things you can do. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

This story reminds of my situation last year...

I had a trail cam out for a little over two weeks, so I decide to switch my cards out... I get there, open the cover and the SD card is gone...I'm like, what the ? I know I put one back in it the last time... So anyway, now I'm thinking someone stole the card out of it.. I remembered this happening to someone else a couple years before and they said these trail cams have an internal memory... So I took the camera home and hooked it up to my computer through the USB, and Bango !!! There he was, looking right at the camera... So I printed the picture and hung it up in all the local taverns ( I live in a small town ) and emailed the pic to every person I knew asking them if the guy looked familiar to them.... One of my friends hung it up at the gas station she works at, and in no time about 5 different people all said it was this certain someone they knew and that he traspasses on everybodys land looking for Ginseng... Well, I contacted my buddy that is a Sauk County police officer and he went to the guys work and shook him down pretty good.... The guy admitted taking the card, and to make a long story short, he returned the card with a hand written apology to me saying he will never be back on my land ever again..... I did not press charges because this guy is one of those guys that you could not ever ever trust, and I thought that there could be retaliation... Afterall, he knew where alot of my treestands were and possible other cameras.....
It could have been alot worse, he could have taken the camera instead of just taking the card, but I think he thought he was safe and that I would not know who took it.... He was wrong !!!
