what would you guess this 8 pointer for score ?
Not a great picture, but if you guys had to guess, what do you think he would roughly score ? Being he is only a 8 pointer, I am going to say a 3 1/2 at maybe 135".

I would say that's a fair guess...130'ish. But judging a deer in velvet can always be a little tricky.

Short brows, short 3's, not much spread. I give him another year.(unless this is a big one for you, by all means, shoot it)122".
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Ya, I thought that 130's might be pushing it, but whatever, No, not planning on shooting him anyway, we have some nicer ones running around our area, but I was just curious what you guys thought this one might go... I'm trying to get better at scoring "on the hoof", but it's tough sometimes...

Notice how the buck is coming out of the corn just before dark and headed to the woods ? I've been glassing everynight for the past 2 weeks and all I see is the deer coming out of the corn just before dark, heading for the alfalfa or woods... I even saw two dandy 10 pointers that just stepped out of the corn before dark 2 nights ago... I think the mosquitoes are driving them nuts in the woods ! They need to buy a Thermo cell !

Nice buck, but I wouldn't put him much over 120. Although I am curious of what is growing back behind him in between the corn....

125" short brows and not much mass, that's giving him an inside spread of 17".
