Big Bucks pinned down...

Unread postby BigHills BuckHunter » Mon Jul 19, 2010 3:30 pm

Hey guys...Been doing alot of scouting this past week thought I would update everyone. First of all tonight we located for the first time this season a buck we named Ghost. We have found his antlers the past 2 years but still havnt seen him ever. 2 years ago we found his matched set. I think he was either a 3.5 yr old or 4.5 scored 168. Then this last pring I found his left side antler. He grew a ton of mass. Now we got him on video as a 5 or 6 year old. Looks like 170 inch to 180 inch deer. I would like to post the video on here but I dont know how. He is one of the heaviest bodied deer Ive ever seen.

Ive also located with him 3 bucks that will score 140+ They are a group that comes out to a low lying soybean field right next to a creek and marsh.

Then on the other side of our property I found a huge buck track that measures 6 inchs long....Ill post a pic of it. Located a 140 150 inch buck on this side of property calling him the island buck due to bedding on an island in a field surrounded by wheat. He has a choice between soybeans, corn, alfalfa and wheat within 200 yards of his bed also having water close by to him. He has 4 little bucks with him including a yearling split brow tine 9 pointer. This buck I really want to kill because of my plan to hunt him the first week of season.

BigHills, you would need to post it on a video host site, such as youtube.com- and then post a link here for us to click on.

Sounds like you've got great prospects for the upcoming season, that's got to get you fired up! 8-)
