If your just going to for does, it's hard to beat a corn field. I saw 8 Wed. night, all heading to the corn to feed. The corn was up and the farmer was combining on the other side.

Put the wind in your face, and walk sloooowly. One step, look around, one step, look around...Use the noise of the wind to cover your movements. Spot one before it spots you.
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

If I were to take a younger hunter out on a cold windy day, I'd be tempted to use aground blind overlooking a food source.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

as longs as its cold, i dont think the deer worry as much about the strong winds because they have food on their mind to survive!

Set the blind up where the deer will be....get there before them....

Full moon and bitter cold, I would hunt all day.
Especially 11-2.

On a windy day the deer will be out of the wind. The lee side of hills are a good place to look
