So I went put on a observation sit this morning since the logging and damage from the last hurricane as affected on of my best bedding areas.
Got all nice and comfy this morning, nice and cool 50 degrees at sunrise it was a beautiful morning and it had that feeling of something is going to get shot today, love those mornings.
Seen 4 deer workingvtheir way back to bed in a lil thicket I have never seen them use before. That's when the deer hunt turned into a pig smack down.
Had a group of bout 20 come in and start gobbling up ever acron they could find so when a nice sow got broadside at 31 yards. She got a stinger buzzcut in her being pushed by a 550 grain high foc arrow.
Got complete pass throw and arrow planted to the fletchings in the dirt.
The group ran off a few yards and came right back and when a bore got broadside at 42 yards he felt the sting as well. Only problem is he moved and my perfectly placed heart shot turned into a clean ded center of the rear hip shot. The arrow broke both rear hips and planted in the dirt up to the fletchings. He ran off dragging his rear end.
Sadly I didnt find the bore, but I did find the sow and got her to the house for some fresh wild pork tonight.
