Hey Zap, can you give us an idea of bird position and shot placement? Turkeys are tough birds to take down with a bow, shot placement is critical. What broad head you using? I shot a tom at close range with my longbow and he ran away flapping as 2 other toms flogged him. Never found that bird unfortunately. :cry: The arrow stayed in the bird and must have broke a wing and or leg. I grid searched for hours the next day and not even any sign of a yote getting it or the arrow. Guess another hunter could have picked it up, or even a neighbors dog could have taken it home, leaving nothing to find. I hear they will burrow up under brush if they have any time to think about it, before they expire.
