Shot was pretty close I think...not sure to be honest I have terrible depth perception/judge of distance. I'd say within 25yards. I have to go back and look for a piece of my gun I left behind in the excitement It jammed up and I took it apart and dropped a spring I will pace it off when I go back. And yeah my gf is pretty cool I'm happy she willingly came out.

the reaction after the shot was wonderful, it took me right back to when i was 14 and shot my first turkey. hooting and hollering is just great. congrats.

And sorry if I busted your chops at all about the calling also..I just have never heard calling like that, but I didnt realize you were mimicking the hens..Like you mentioned, if it called them in, it must've been fine! The second series of yelps sounded good btw!...

No worries I wasn't overly upset or anything I could see how if you were expecting yelps the noises I were making were the furthest things from them LOL but if you listen close the hens are making strange little popping or clucking noises between a lot of my calls..
