BigBoi hits his stride

Unread postby muddy » Sun May 01, 2011 2:45 am

2 misses at 7 yards with the bow but the shotgun dropped him!

Got out for a very quick hunt as I needed to get home so my wife could go to doctor. Great hunt cuz my buddy carried EVERYTHING as my back hurts. This bird came in and as soon as he saw BigBoi his day was ruined.

After the shot we found he had 2 nice beards and decent spurs, on of which was busted. 3 hunts this year and 9 birds within 7 yards.

BigBoi got hammered as the bird hung around and circled him a half dozen times while beating him up

Much love for BigBoi

Yeah, Justin missed him the first time and then couldn't get his bow drawn back in the excitement. I bet that turkey circled BigBoi a dozen times and just kept beating on him! His head is loose so no worries there but one of the wings the screws got pulled out so we're gunna Frankenstine him back together with some 3 inch drywall screws tonight or so. He'll be fine.

How was he made again? Is he a store-bought decoy covered with a real turkey skin or is he a mounted turkey?

Mounted bird specifically for hunting. He has nuts and screws holding him together.

Love that decoy Muddy!!!! I put real wings and a better head on my B-mobile but mine has nothing on yours. Who made that for you if you don't mind me asking?

A buddy of mine made it and recently replaced it. BigBoi had spent a few years in a garage before he gave him to me.

The first bow shot Justin knicked the wing, caused the bird to bleed. If it weren't for that decoy the bird would've been gone. It just made him mad!

Besides, he's had all his shots! The decoy that is, not sure about Justin.
