Bow Drives for Turkey!

Unread postby Sam Ubl » Sat May 05, 2018 3:38 am

Not your average tactics used on this hunt. I joined an old neighbor and good friend of mine on one of his farms in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, with six inches of snow on the ground during the first period of Wisconsin's spring turkey season. After sitting over decoys for the first hour, we spotted some birds a few hundred yards away and decided to get aggressive and do some spot & stalks and bow drives. After a couple swing and misses, we finally connected on a great bird. This was an entertaining hunt...

Great work as usual Sam!

That reminds me of the kind of stuff I did in my younger days.
