collecting turkey primaries please

Unread postby muddy » Wed Mar 07, 2018 12:55 am

I'm almost out of feathers. If any Beasts would feel so inclined to mail me wings, or feathers, I'd appreciate it. Pic to show clipping point, I use heavy side cutters, thanks! PLEASE keep let wing separate from right via grocery bag, double THANKS!

And here is a great video on clipping and processing if you're even further interested.

Personally, I don’t have any but my dad might. I’ll check with him.

If I get out I will save them. You want both wings? I use to cut, trim, grind and use them - just never have time anymore. Would love to see your arrows I use to really get into dipping, staining and cresting arrows - it was so cool to hunt with an arrow I crafted. Been shooting carbon for last 10 years though as life just gets busier and busier.

Yeah both wings, I trade one side off for other necessary items. Thanks Dave

I will tell my Son-in-law as well - he usually sends me a bag of them when I ask.

I have 4 tags for the WI turkey season. Unfortunately, my first one isn't until the first weekend in May, but I'll make sure I keep all the primaries for you if I get any. Hopefully I get some. ;)
