2017 Turkey contest score/story poll

Unread postby Outdoor814 » Sun Mar 12, 2017 12:33 am

It's looking like it's going to be an individual contest like the big buck contest. I'm pretty sure everyone will want to just tell there story but I'm still going to do this poll.

I love reading the stories and awarding the best hunt. I don't get much out of inches and pounds stats.

Ever thought about multiple categories? Archery / Shotgun. Blind / No Blind/Stalk. 25lber killed with a shotgun out of a blind is an awesome trophy, but a 18lber shot with a bow on a stalk is more impressive to me.

Numbers all day long for me on turkeys. I yelped him in and shot the big tom with a 12 gauge. That's my story. No talking about pretty sunrises or sunsets. I live it dont need to hear it. Lol

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I'm the wrong guy to to ask those questions to I hunt for deer and turkeys not bucks and toms

I like your style burkhart. I don't see anything wrong with a biggest turkey contest. Wouldn't hurt my ego if someone shot one bigger than me. I think everyone has a great story and it becomes a popularity contest. A simple measurement would be an easier tie breaker
