I was curious when the birds are cranking in North Central/North East Missouri. Also wondering how the youth season seems to be there, or if that is to early. Looking at doing some scouting for deer and taking my son turkey hunting.
Thanks!

Re: MO TURKEY
I think the youngsters season in Missouri is timed better than the regular season. Should be great this year if it stays warm. Got get em!

Re: MO TURKEY
Youth season is April 9-10 this year and is most often really good as it's right before heavy breeding. We are having an early spring this year and things are starting to heat up now.

Not sure where you are planning to go, but check out the Mo. Dept. of Conservation website, they have harvest maps for the previous years deer and turkey harvest divided up regions and counties. They also give forecasts on there also. It will tell you what the harvest rate was and what the hatch was like. I know North Mo deer and turkey numbers are both down from what they were. Just be something good to look at for planning.
