Turkey season opens up March 26th down here, i won't be here for opening day i will be in Alabama for Dans workshop, but the weekend after opening day i will make a trip.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the best public lands to turkey hunt in Louisiana?

Re: Louisiana Turkey hunting
I have actually done some cyber scouting on LA the past few weeks in case I were to kill a couple of MS birds early. I was thinkin of hopping over and buying a couple of the 1 day non res licenses for a weekend.
It seems that most places are thoroughly covered on the Internet(unfortunate to those that hunt them, fortunate to those that are looking to make trips there). Shouldn't have too hard of a time figuring out the closest thing to you with a good bird population.
It does seem that they are more saturated with hunters since there are less areas that hold birds in LA than most places.
