it is!!! its my own special recipe! been making it the same for years

I like it better in the oven then the dehydrator! I set my oven at 170 F for about 8 hours and it comes out ALOT juicier ten the dehydrator

Do you want jerky to be "juicier"? Doesn't it spoil fast like that? I had problems with venison jerky not being dried enough and the extra moisture creates what looks like mildew over time.

well I didn't mean like JUCY....I just like it a little more moist then the dehydrator ..I can also watch it better an fluctuate the temps better in the oven.... its an even dry out in the oven in the dehydrator it seems to burn the meat when other racks arnt done and Its a lot of work to keep moving the racks around. in the oven its even load all the way around.

by the way dewster it don't last long enough for it to spoil ;)

Had an exciting but depressing day out in the turkey woods today. I ended up wiffing on two shots attempting some reaps with the bow. I ended the day wounding a jake with my bow in a downpour. Most action i've had and most exciting hunts i've had for turkeys but all in all it was pretty depressing to say the least

It all comes down to practice, practice, practice. I'm not letting this happen again. I feel pretty bad about it but, it is what it is. We'll be coming out with another turkey video here shortly for you all to watch on our weeks 4-6.

I'll be filming Josh tomorrow, we will be in a primo spot in the morning. Hoping to make the last day count. Happy Memorial Day everybody!

We are set up on a field edge again, hoping with all the rain last night the turkeys will be out picking worms.

A couple of jakes crossed the other side of the field, didn't seem interested in the calls. Hopefully they come back around.

No dice. One hen showed up right at 8:30 (sunset 8:42). She clucked around a bit, maybe 60 yards away then took off. I owl hooted the walk back to the car and never heard a single gobble. With the rain tomorrow I think I'll sleep in. Today was a long day, up at 3am, in the woods from dark to dark.

I did stumble upon my first morels.
