Extreme Bow Hunting Tactics for Turkeys

Unread postby SonofUlam » Thu Feb 12, 2015 3:35 pm

Just finished watching Dans extreme turkey tactics video and I was just wondering how similar tactics could be modified for bow hunting a turkey. I'm curious to hear from some of you guys who have had consistent success with a similar or same style as the run n gun with a bow. Also, if you don't mind- What do you do similar and what is different from what you see in Dans video? What type of topography are you hunting (Ag, timber, swamps, etc...). Thanks!

This is as extreme as I've gotten. Private OPEN ground fanning with the bow.

I'm making one of these!! Do you have a bolt on it so it threads into your stabilizer?

You can go this route as well with the Mojo tailchaser. I have a b-stinger that it clamps onto but you could rig something up with pcv that would thread into your stabalizer pretty easy I would think.

Ive hunted with one of these and if you have a sunny day the sun shines right through that thin fan and silhouettes you. I wouldnt have thought of this until my hunting buddy took a picture of me from a far on a sunny day and it was easy to see my outline. I have killed a bird over this but more often than not they picked me off.
