I keep getting comments from friends that say"All that for a stupid bird?" :D They would think I was nuttier than squirrel poo if they knew what I did to get to my deer setups. :D

Most don't realize that's the fun of it. Nothing like an adventure when hunting. :mrgreen:

Absolutely, if you implement crazy tactics all the time, you end up with great stories and experiences even when you fail.

Awesome story. Been there done that...all unplanned of course like your scenario. The hills and ridges of southern IN are crazy good for turkey hunting. I used to drive 3 hours every opening day to hunt a place in Switzerland County. Good times...
