Slept in and went out to a new area. About 8:00 four hens walked out into a field follows by a big tom. The closest they got was about 120 yards. I figured trying to call to a tom with 4 hens would likely do more harm than good so I just watched them. After they went back into the woods I moved my blind close to where they initially came out. Might go back around midday and hit the gym, then come back out for the evening hunt.

Yesterday I saw a total of 20 birds. Mostly hens and jakes, only 2 toms. I had a jake at 20 yards but let him walk looking for a tom. Later, one tom and two jakes came in to about 20-25 yards but they were all moving and wouldn't stop and with the bow I couldn't take a shot.

This morning I saw a group of 3 hens and then 2 toms each by themselves but not in range. All of the birds seemed real spooky. I noticed there were a lot of turkey vultures in the area this morning and I think that might have spooked the birds.
