Shot a turkey today

Unread postby Mountain Man » Sun Oct 27, 2013 8:13 am

I went out deer hunting this morning but didn't see a deer. On the way out of the woods I could see a flock of turkeys in a bean field. I had a turkey tag in my pocket so I sneaked up on them, picked one out, and shot one. It was a young male.

Nice! I had 2 toms walk under my stand on Thursday night but we don't have a fall turkey season. Pretty tough stalking a turkey. Great Job!!

Kudos to you!

I haven't ever filled a fall archery turkey tag so I quit buying them.

Nice bird for sure.
