Spooking Birds on Purpose
I'm going to turkey hunt before work tomorrow morning which means I may be time constrained. The worst case scenario I can think of is that I will have some nice birds hung up at 100 yards and I'm sitting there waiting for them to go away so I can go to work. I'm trying to think of ways to spook them off the field without giving away the fact that I am a person out there trying to kill them. One way that I have thought of is getting someone to drive out into the field with the truck. unfortunately thats not an option with how muddy it is out there right now. Something else I might try is making a coyote howl. Anyways, I know how creative some are on here so I was hoping to hear some of your ideas.

First thing that came to my mind was also a coyote howl. That should move them out of the field but not scare the crap out of them.

Usually I just do regular turkey calls and they go the other way.

Hahaha yeah I have heard some bad turkey calls, (a few of them from myself )
Just roosted three big birds, didn't get a visual of them in the roost but could hear them fly up. Hopefully I don't get into this situation and just end up killing one!!!

If you are in a blind, pack up your stuff and walk out under the blind....done it many times without spooking birds. If you are on the edge, just back out though the woods when they are at a distance. Even if they spook you can still hunt them again......as long as you soft bump them you should be fine hunting them in the future.
