I Blew it!!
Headed out yesterday morning. I had gobbling all over, they were relly sounding off. I was on a field edge and all of the sudden about a 100 yards right behind me another one sounds off. I give a few hen yelps and shut up. He is gobbling like crazy. I'm thinking, this is going to be a breeze, I'll be heading back to the truck in a couple of minutes with my Thunder Chicken in hand. He was taking his time, but getting closer and closer. Finally, he sounds like he is just on the other side of a knoll, still in the woods, but only 30 yards or so. I swing to my right a little, and all of the sudden I hear the dreaded alarm put! Sh%*, he was following 5-6 hens, I had know idea the hens were there. Busted! Game over. Oh well, I bought an extra tag for this next WI season, maybe I'll have better luck. However, I did find some nice big Morels!

I missed one last saturday too Dan....The shot was 28 yards with a heavy crosswind; I was trying to take his head off with the Magnus bullhead but did not aim quite high enough ....I videoed everything and just missed his neck low and about an inch to the left. The guy with me shot the second subordinate bird with his scattergun as he was running off. Fun hunt

Cool... If you can see the arrow flight I would be interested in using the footage if you want to be in a video.

You can definately see the arrow flight. However, my camera is not the best. It's just a handycam mini DV format. If that is good enough, just let me know how to to get the footage to you.

Thats fine.... Camera to camera is the best way to copy tapes with a fire wire.
