It's been a busy Spring with moving and all, but I was finally able to get out and seal the deal at noon yesterday during my lunch break. I knew where they were hanging out, but having to drop my daughter off at school in the morning hasn't allowed me to catch them in the early morning. So I decided to wait until 11AM to see if I could find a tom out searching after the morning groups had dispersed. Sure enough, I spotted a lone tom, beard dragging on the ground. A couple of yelps got him all fired up and coming my way. As I was setting up, I heard another one coming in from the opposite side. Then a hen started talking to me. She was only 20 yards away and I was sure she was going to bust me, but she went around the other side of my cover. I let her do the talking and the toms strutted right in. I wasn't hunting from the blind and had to draw before the toms stepped into the open, so I had to take the first bird. He wasn't the big one, but will do nicely. It's turkey dinner tonight boys and girls . Hope you all are having a great season!

Way to go! That always seemed tough to do with the bow and no blind. You earned that one!
