I checked bow...even though I have yet to kill a bird with the bow. I am promising myself to keep the gun locked up this spring and not resort to using it, no matter what.
I hate eating my tag, but I don't think I will ever accomplish the goal unless I stick with the objective.

I'd prefer bow, but it gets to me after a while sitting in a blind waiting for them to come to me; when I can get a lot closer and set up on them with a shotgun.

I did vote no turkey hunter, because I never had the opportunity...
I hope some day to have it...when I'll come in the US.

Bow!!!! But this year, mostly trying to get my girlfriend a turkey with her gun, then mine with a bow. Somehow, we both drew the same season. Liberty hunt, when you are ready to make the trip to the States, let me know, I'll take you out hunting on some great turkey land!!!

I hunt mainly with a shotgun... The reason for me is that I can't stand sitting in a blind waiting for them to wander past. I almost feel robbed if I use my tag in that manner.
For me the run and gun excitement of crawling up close to a gobbler and calling him the last 20 or 30 yards while sprawled out on my belly is an adrenaline rush.
I have done this with a bow, but it is very hard to pull off successfully in the open type terrain I hunt.
I am in the middle of editing a turkey DVD right now, I have been filming my turkey hunts for about 10 years and a bunch of friends... I think you will be amazed at the excitement of crawling up on birds...
Also, here in Wisconsin we only get 5 days to hunt, and its usually during the raining typhoon type weather...
Might go out with the bow again this year, but I ain't sitting in no tent waiting for them to come to me!

I clicked Bow, but because of a short hunt in MO the last few years I pick up the gun on the last day to freezer some Tom. 1st two days are bow though and at home in MN it's been only bow for last 3 yrs.

That's how you have to do it. Just take your bow. It will happen. Good luck to you this spring!

Mostly bow. I'm on a 5 year streak with the bow. Only 7 spring toms total so far.

Gun for me. I love to hunt, but I don't respect the turkey like I do other game for some reason. I would rather just score on turkey and then get out and spring scout for whitetails.

I like your truck!

I hunt with a bow now-a-days. Started with a shotgun, but the last 5 years have been bow only and I love it! I will add that I'm fortunate enough to have two properties (Delafield and Holy Hill) that are so populated with Turkey's, fear of missing and losing an opportunity isn't as much of a factor as when I used to hunt Muscoda for 3 days.

I shot three birds last year between Kansas and Missouri. I'm pretty sure I shot my last two birds with a gun last year :) I actually took out two gobblers at once with one shot In Kansas (This is legal)....It was awesome. I figured that I would never top that again with a gun, so I continued bowhunting in MO the rest of the season. Shot a 24 pounder with my bow abd Diamond Guillotine heads.

Gun hunted them for 13 years and have been bow only for the last 5....not sure why I waited so long to make the switch!

Ive changed my mind and decided to go bow only. I really want to get one with my bow. Hopefully my new DSD Hen will get them in really close.

I am normally all about bow hunting, but when it comes to turkey's I could take it or leave it so I just take the gun, get my bird and call it a day. Then back to deer on the brain. :)
