Re: Turkey Chicks
The recent cold and snow we are getting now will be killing off some, our hatch last spring did'nt seem that good around me, might be slim pickins on 2 year old gobblers again next year because of it...........

Re: Turkey Chicks
I shot a couple turkey chicks last September before I knew how mild the winter would be on them. I wanted to help thin them out and help the rest eat, didnt know it would be so mild. Oh well at least I took a couple off the coyotes plate. And they sure were a hit brined and smoked at super bowl this year

Around here we've had three hard winters in a row and has lowered the turkeys numbers pretty bad. We will need a few more winters like this one to bring it back to the way it was. I do think we will see more jakes this year.
