A few trail cam photos from my baits

Unread postby James » Mon Aug 29, 2011 3:50 pm

After a nervous week of watching the weather I finally was able to get up to check my baits and trail cameras on Saturday. The first bait that I had established in a new area was still not hit and I chose to abandon my efforts there. The next two baits were absolutely pounded. One was completely devoid of 300 lbs of food I had left and the other only had a little bit left. The bear tore my trail camera off the tree on the one and I didn't have any photos. The last pit has was I believe to be a decent bear hitting it like clockwork every night and I had 780 photos of him.

How big on this guy? Weight/Age?

I believe this is a different bear. The one above comes around 6-7p every night and this guy is hitting it around 1-2am. During the same date the beggars lice stuck to his coat are in different locations.

The daytime bear is my target. He's been in to my bait every night like clockwork between 6-7p. He occasionally comes in the morning, but evening is reliable. I hope he keeps up his pattern until Thursday!

Good luck.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Excellent bear right there!
Saggy belly - nice spread between the ears, seems to be pretty thick.
I'll go out on a limb and say he'll dress 300 lbs +.

Now you just have to get him in a position to get him on a scale.

Good luck !
