Re: MN 2020 bear hunters
Mnwild I have some bait sites that are out still right now that early on had daytime activity but now their mostly nighttime photos. We’ve hunted them, a bear was missed from one site, but additionally there near atv trails and roads. By this time of the year if a bait site is near an atv trail, hiking path, logging road there is likely bow hunters, grouse hunters, hikers, squirrel hunters etc bumping around. Try an overlooked area that has less of those activities I mentioned. Additionally if you’re only getting nighttime photos the bears might not be comfortable traveling through certain areas during daylight to get to your bait site. Try locating the site closer to extremely thick cover or their perceived bedding area. That should increase the likelihood of daylight activity.
Persistence is undefeated.

This time of year when the foliage shrinks you will have much better luck with day time visits with bait stations in the thickest cover you can find. Don’t be scared to move bait stations.
